Scheer Bliss Jazz has been entertaining and elevating weddings, restaurants,
and social events in the Grand Rapids area since 2019. 

Greg Scheer

Greg Scheer is a 40-year veteran of the bass. He plays upright and electric basses, is comfortable in a broad range of musical styles, and is fluent in music notation, improvisation, leadsheets, and chord charts. His live and session work includes classical, pop, and jazz/gospel, including partnerships with the Tallahassee Swing Band (FL), Deanna Witkowski (NYC), Urban Doxology (VA), and gigs with Outside Pocket, Scheer Bliss, and many other jazz groups from his home of Grand Rapids.

Susan Mora

Susan Mora is a Grand Rapids area violinist that has played in the area since college. She enjoys performing with the Grand Rapids Symphony and also playing jazz, country, bluegrass, blues etc. Susan also spends her time teaching violin in Rockford schools and spending time with her daughters

Ed Dublis

Ed Dublis started playing the accordion and piano as a child, participating in church services and competing in competitions in high school, and even joining Glee Club. He has been the music director for numerous churches in New York, New Jersey and Grand Rapids and guest conducted “Shenandoah” at Lincoln Center. He enjoys playing with and directing, including performances at Civic Theatre, Circle Theatre, and Heritage Theatre. He played for several Broadway shows including “Cats” “Fiddler on the Roof” and “The Fantasticks.” Most recently Ed often plays with “Hark Up,” Scheer Bliss, and Paul Sherwood’s big band.

Jason Werkema

Jason Werkema is an active musician in West Michigan who provides music learning resources for classical, jazz, acoustic, and bass guitarists through his website, JasonWerkma.com. Music for him is a way to encourage people, celebrate life, and explore creativity with others. His dog is even named “Jazz”!
